Growing up in China, I feel very much able to identify with the main character.
But then i realised, it is not just China, it is the entire “globalisation” or “capitalist expansion”….a process i do not necessary see in negative light, but i do see how the world is going to a different direction now…and hope…

I’ve found the occurrence of full length Chinese animated films rare.
Eventually perhaps.
For now we have shorts - in shades of red and neon signs.The figures with their rotating heads remind me of Kodamas from Princess Mononoke.
